The population of the world are addicted to drugs. Most are harmless and widely accepted, designed to calm people or bring their mood up for example, but three years ago scientists introduced a new drug called Ultimate. It was designed to enhance senses and physical power, but something went wrong.
The drug began to enhance violent tendencies in a person. It was announced the drug shall no longer be released, but a very large number of boxes of Ultimate were stolen from a warehouse. In a panic, the city and surrounding area in which the drug had been stolen was shut off from the rest of the world in an attempt to stop it spreading.
It's been three years since anyone inside The Wall had contact with the outside world.
