(Sidenote: ?Formatting in Blogger can be a real p.i.t.a. It is so glitchy! Ignore the crazy centered text... I tried to change the html and it still won't correct it. ?Sigh.)
So far, so good! Tomorrow marks one week since we brought the crazies home. They are affectionate and playful and have very distinct personalities. It's been 20 years since I've had a cat and I've forgotten how funny and cute (and crazy) they can be.
We are slowly introducing them to the dog. Bella is such a Buddha of a dog she just lays there and watches them or tries to be friends. Paris just stares back terrified. Picasso, on the other hand, strutted up to her like some kind of New Jersey Mobster and slapped her in the face and then blocked her from leaving her crate. Total bad ass with a tender side, just how I like my men.
We still have one week to decide if we are definitely keeping them. As expected, the children have waned ever-so-slightly in their excitement, but they faithfully feed, water, and play with them and scoop the litter box twice daily.
We are training them with a spray bottle of water to stay away from the kitchen table, counters and other areas they shouldn't investigate. It works so well I'm considering using it on the daycare kids (ha. kidding.)
The best part of having them is when they tuck into your body anyplace they can fit and cuddle up and purr while you snooze or watch tv. Heaven.
Barring some great upset, we are most likely keeping them. I hate the litterbox but Jake keeps it in his closet (which is good, a constant reminder to scoop it or suffer the consequences!)
We've lucked out saving 3 pretty amazing animals. All 3 were just shy of being euthanized...and what a terrible waste it would have been!
